Privacy & Cookies

Who we are

The Sharp Kitchen (“we”, “us”) publishes honest, research-led guides to kitchen knives and cutlery at thesharpkitchen.com. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit, why, and what choices you have.

What we collect

  • Analytics data. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use the site — pages viewed, rough location (country or region), device and browser type, and how you arrived. This is aggregated and does not identify you personally.
  • Information you give us. If you email us or use our contact page, we receive whatever you choose to send — typically your name, email address and message — so we can reply.

We do not run a newsletter, we don’t ask you to create an account, and we don’t sell or rent your information to anyone.

Cookies

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We use:

  • Analytics cookies set by Google Analytics to measure traffic, as described above.
  • Affiliate cookies. When you click an outbound link to a retailer, that retailer may set a cookie so they can credit us if you make a purchase. These are set by the retailer, not by us — see our affiliate disclosure.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Doing so won’t stop you reading anything on the site.

Third parties

The services that may process data on our behalf, or when you interact with the site, include Google (Analytics) and the retailers we link to (such as Amazon). Each has its own privacy policy governing how it handles your data.

Your choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. Because we collect so little, this is usually straightforward — just get in touch and we’ll help.

Changes and contact

We’ll update this page if our practices change. Questions about privacy? Reach us via our contact page.
